In a landmark moment for global scholarship in acting theory and pedagogy, Routledge—the preeminent academic publisher in the humanities and social sciences—has given its full and enthusiastic endorsement to Professor Andrei Malaev-Babel’s groundbreaking book proposal. The approved project, titled Unlocking Creativity: The Complete Works of Nikolai Demidov’s Acting Pedagogy, will be published as a four-volume series, marking the first-ever complete English-language edition of Demidov’s writings.

Professor Malaev-Babel is Head and Certifying Master Teacher of the International Demidov Association, and Professor of Theatre and Head of Acting at the FSU/Asolo Conservatory for Actor Training. He is the world’s leading authority on Demidov’s work.
